Prada's rich heritage traces back to its inception in 1913, when brothers Mario and Martino Prada opened a leather goods shop in Milan, Italy. Initially specializing in importing high-quality handbags and steamer trunks from Europe to England, Prada quickly gained recognition for its exquisite craftsmanship and attention to detail.
The legacy of the brand was further enhanced when Mario's daughter, Luisa, assumed leadership, steering the company through two decades of success. In 1978, the reins of Prada were passed on to Luisa's daughter, Miuccia Prada, whose innovative vision and creative genius transformed the brand into the global fashion powerhouse it is today. Miuccia's bold designs and avant-garde approach have continually pushed the boundaries of fashion, solidifying Prada's position as an icon of luxury and sophistication.
